Ruth certified as a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor with U.C.D. Sports and Fitness – she is passionate about health and wellness. Ruth loves to build on her knowledge and skills development and has subsequently trained in advanced mat Pilates, pre and post-natal Pilates, Barre Pilates, Pilates for Rotational Sports and most recently completed a course on Pilates and a Healthy Menopause.
Beyond her professional qualifications, Ruth integrates movement into her daily life by practicing tennis, running and Pilates. She embraces the mental and physical benefits of regular exercise, viewing it as a key contributor to a happier, healthier and more harmonious life. Ruth’s journey into Pilates began after the birth of her three children, using it as a means to regain fitness post-pregnancy. Amazed by the results and recognising the many benefits, she developed a passion for Pilates that eventually led to a career in fitness.
Ruth’s approach to teaching is client-centred, offering tailored sessions for individuals at all stages of life in both one-on-one and group settings. She fosters a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment, motivating and inspiring her clients to achieve their fitness goals. Ruth prioritises safety and challenges her clients in a manner that helps them reach their optimum level of fitness. Emphasising correct technique and form, she believes that small adjustments can make a significant difference in one’s practice. Ruth aims to empower her clients by teaching them the principles of Pilates, enabling them to establish lasting habits and ultimately enhance their overall quality of life.
